Domestic scaffolding

It depends on the height, the number of elevations, access and how long you need it — so any firm quoting a flat price down the phone without seeing the property is guessing, and you'll usually find out how badly when the invoice arrives. Our survey and quote are free and the written price doesn't move unless you change the scope.

The quote includes an agreed hire period that suits the job — commonly a few weeks for a re-roof. If your builder overruns, just let us know; extending is charged at a clear weekly rate you'll have seen in the original quotation.

Almost never through the house. We do need access around the property to carry materials, and we'll protect lawns and drives as we go. If we need to work off a neighbour's land we'll ask them ourselves, politely and in advance.

It shouldn't. We use sole boards and spread loads to protect block paving and lawns, and we'll walk the property with you before we start to agree where everything goes. If we do cause damage, we're insured and we'll put it right.

A worthwhile question. We can fit anti-climb measures at ground level and remove the bottom ladder outside working hours. It's also worth telling your home insurer that scaffold is up — most policies expect to be informed, and a quick phone call protects your cover.

Tell your home insurer, and it's courteous to warn immediate neighbours. If the scaffold will stand on the pavement or road, a council licence is needed — we handle that application for you.
